We will negotiate the building contract on behalf of the client to ensure that their client’s requirements are properly reflected within the contract. We can also prepare the building contract documentation, lenders, purchasers and tenants' warranties and the like. We have expert knowledge of the main JCT forms of building contract.

Cost Planning

We undertake budget estimates initially on a unit rate basis for feasibility studies and provide more detailed cost plans as the design progresses past the concept stage. We track the progress of the building design to control costs throughout the design, development and construction phase.

Project Monitoring

We undertake project monitoring instructions, primarily on the instruction of lending institutions in respect of development schemes. The scope of the instruction is normally a two stage process. The initial report covers details of the proposed development together with a review of the statutory consents, as well as a report upon the development costs and means of procurement. We also consider CDM Regulations and site specific reports.

Once the development commences, we visit the site on a regular basis in order to provide Work In Progress Valuations.

Work In Progress Valuations

We have a vast amount of experience in undertaking work in progress inspections for the purpose of either valuing work undertaken for payment under the building contract or, for the purposes of draw-down under an agreed scheme with a lending institution.
